    APPLICATION DEADLINE: July 30!

    The 2018 INFORMS Combined Colloquia will take place on November 2-3, 2018 in Phoenix, preceding the annual conference. Choose from one of these three outstanding colloquia designed to advance your career:

    Doctoral Student Colloquium (DSC), recently reorganized to better help rising Ph.D. students in their second or third year to make the critical decision whether to pursue an academic or practice career;

    New Faculty Colloquium (NFC), an excellent introduction to the challenges of a career in academia for junior faculty or a senior Ph.D. student with an academic interest; and

    Teaching Effectiveness Colloquium (TEC), with great guidance for those who want the best methods of connecting in the classroom and teaching operations research and management science to students at all levels.

    INFORMS has streamlined the application process with an ONLINE application and a straightforward fee structure - $85 for students, $215 for all others. The colloquia are now both affordable and easy to attend. Note that additional support is available for Ph.D. students through WORMS and MIF sponsorship.

    The deadline is July 30. For complete nomination requirements and to make your ONLINE submission, click here. Note that the doctoral colloquium nominations must be made by the department of the applicant.

    Burcu B. Keskin (bkeskin@cba.ua.edu) is serving as 2018 chair of the Combined Colloquia Committee. The chairs of the individual colloquia are Robert Carraway (TEC-CarrawayR@darden.virginia.edu), Sandra Eksioglu (DSC- seksiog@clemson.edu), and co-chairs Julie Ivy and Nick Freeman (NFC-- jsivy@ncsu.edu and nkfreeman@cba.ua.edu). Please direct specific questions to the corresponding colloquia chair.

    Note: All colloquia participants must also register for the INFORMS Annual Meeting.
