We are very excited to announce that the Tsinghua-JD-POMS International Workshop will be held on Tsinghua campus in Beijing on June 3, 2018, and in Qingdao on June 4-5, 2018.
The theme of this year's workshop is "Data Analytics under Emerging Supply Chain and Logistics Innovations". Increased computational power and explosion of data are changing the way and the extent to which organizations capture data, analyze information, and make decisions. These changes provide unique opportunities for researchers in the POMS society to integrate extensive amount of data in our analyses and to identify novel modeling approaches to help generate new understandings of and drive decisions for businesses. There are truly endless possibilities for the POMS community to pursue research in this area that is meaningful and significant for the society.
We are excited that Mr. Chen Zhang, CTO of JD.com, as well as four renowned scholars, Professor J. George Shanthikumar of Purdue University, Professor David Simchi-Levi of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Professor Chuang-Piaw Teo of National University of Singapore, and Professor David D. Yao of Columbia University, will be the keynote speakers for our workshop. We are also very honored to have other industry leaders and renowned scholars join our round-table discussion.
