    Dear colleagues,

    Your submissions are most welcome:

Journal of Global Optimization - Call for Papers

Special issue on "Global Optimization with Multiple Criteria: Theory, Methods and Applications"

    Guest Editors

Kaisa Miettinena, Carlos Romerob, Francisco Ruizc

    a University of Jyväskylä, Finland

b Technical University of Madrid, Spain

    c University of Málaga, Spain

This special issue of the Journal of Global Optimization will publish original research papers dealing with theoretical and applied issues related to global optimization problems with multiple criteria (or objectives) broadly understood. This call for papers is connected to but not restricted to the papers presented at the 24th International Conference on Multiple Criteria Decision Making, MCDM2017 that was held on 10-14 July, 2017 in Ottawa (Canada).

We welcome papers with a significant amount of new scientific contribution in theory, methods or applications of global optimization involving multiple criteria in line with the scope of the Journal of Global Optimization – an international journal dealing with theoretical and computational aspects of seeking global optima and their applications in science, management and engineering.

Since the topical theme of the MCDM2017 conference was "Creating a Sustainable Society", papers resorting to global optimization with multi-criteria approaches within a sustainable field are especially encouraged. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2018.

    Submission process:

Authors should follow the Instructions for Authors of the Journal of Global Optimization and submit their manuscripts via Springer's online Editorial Manager www.editorialmanager.com/jogo/ by January 31, 2018. While submitting, please, make sure to choose in the Editorial Manager SI: MCDM2017 as the Article Type. Submissions are sent to reviewers as they arrive and papers accepted for publication are made electronically available via SpringerLink before the Special Issue is published. Other inquiries should be sent directly to any of the Guest Editors in charge of this issue: Kaisa Miettinen (kaisa.miettinen@jyu.fi), Carlos Romero (carlos.romero@upm.es) and Francisco Ruiz (rua@uma.es).
