Hello everybody!
You know you want the good practical stuff, and of course we'll have it for you in Phoenix.
Turns out I'm chairing the Cluster on Practice (formerly CPMS) at the 2018 INFORMS Annual Meeting, which will be held in Phoenix, AZ on Nov 4-7, 2018.
I'm inviting you (and all your best friends) to organize a session for the cluster, or to volunteer to participate in some of the sessions we've got brewing. We've already got a "Day in the Life Of" careers session, a Pricing/Revenue management session, the usual award cross-listings, and a "Freestyle O.R. Supreme" contest brewing. All we need is you.

Want to organize a Practice session? Please email me by March 9 with a tentative title, and your final list of speakers, abstracts and titles is due May 10. Sessions last for 90 minutes and may comprise four or five presentations linked by a common theme. The basic idea is we're talking about things people actually do in the real world - that's why it's the Section on Practice.
Want to participate in one of our existing sessions by sharing a day in your (practical) life, or are you brave enough to take the microphone and freestyle some O.R. on demand? Send me your application/interest by March 9, and we'll let you know whether you're selected as soon as we can.
