    Dear colleagues,
We ask for your help to share the call for poster abstracts for the ISBIS 2017 conference with your students. ISBIS (http://www.isbis-isi.org) is organizing the "Statistics in Business Analytics” conference at IBM Research in NY, June 7-9, 2017. The conference website is http://www.isbis2017.org. All accepted poster presenters will be provided free accommodation (3 hotel nights) and registration.
Students who would like to present a poster should send a title, abstract (at most 200 words) and affiliation information to isbis2017@gmail.com with “Poster Presentation Application” in the title of the email. These should be sent on or before March 5th, 2017. All accepted poster presenters will be contacted by March 20th, 2017. There will be a poster competition during the poster session, and all posters will automatically be considered for the competition, unless withdrawn. Prizes will be announced at a further date.
The three-day meeting will focus on using statistical methods for improving decision-making and efficiency in businesses. It will bring together researchers in industry (both in and out of IBM) and academia to provide perspectives and share ideas on how to use statistics for business analytics. We are expecting 150 attendees with 4 parallel sessions and 3 keynotes. This will be an opportunity to network and learn about the statistical challenges that arise in different organizations. We will be hosting evening events (including a gala) after the sessions to give participants the opportunity to get to know each other. Some key topics that will be presented at the conference are statistics for social good, statistics to improve marketing operations, statistics for finance, statistics in climate, statistics in medical industry, and many more.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions at isbis2017@gmail.com
    Thank you,
