    The POMS College of Product Innovation and Technology Management College will hold its bi-annual mini-conference at the C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston on SaturdayOctober 21st 2017. As in previous years, the mini-conference this year promises to be an intellectually stimulating event that will showcase leading edge thinking and ideas from the world of academia and practice in the area of innovation and technology management. The mini-conference will immediately precede the INFORMS Annual Meeting. We plan to start the conference around noon to facilitate morning arrival in Houston.

    Innovation Challenges in Practice:

    Practice Keynote: Dr. Firouz Naderi (NASA) has over 30+ years of experience in various technical and executive positions at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)

    Mr. Mark Linesch (Hewlett Packard), Vice President of Strategy at Hewlett Packard Enterprise CTO Office and Labs

     

    Academic Research and Trends:

    Academic Keynote: Dr. Uday Karmakar is the Los Angeles Times Professor of Management and Policy at UCLA Anderson School of Management

    PITM Best Student Paper Presentation and Award Ceremony

     

    Pedagogy of Product and Project Management:

    Dr. Nitin Joglekar is an Associate Professor and Dean's Faculty Fellow at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University.

    Dr. Theodore Klastorin is the Burlington Northern/Burlington Resources Professor in Manufacturing Management at the Foster School of Business, University of Washington, Seattle.
