    The Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL) is seeking a talented and energetic professional for a Postdoctoral Fellowship positions at the MIT CTL Megacity Logistics Lab.   

    We are looking for a qualified, curious, and passionate post-doc to add to our team.  Specifically, he or she will support the lab on research projects with corporate and public sector project partners in the domain of urban last-mile logistics, urban transportation network design, inventory management, and related fields. He or she will perform a combination of directed research, teaching, and outreach with corporate partners. A strong emphasis of his or her responsibilities will lie on conducting and co-leading applied research efforts building on predominantly quantitative, data-driven methods (data analytics, applied optimization and simulation modeling, etc.).
     

    Requirements:  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in supply chain management, transportation, logistics, operations management, information systems, engineering, economics, business, or a related discipline. Must have in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following research areas:  urban logistics, (urban) freight transportation, (supply chain) data analytics.  Evidence of the ability to develop and deliver lectures and class material at the graduate level (both masters and doctoral) is a plus. Familiarity with coding, database systems, statistical software and analytics tools to analyze big data is preferred, as is experience in working with / in industry.  Preference will be given to those with both methodological and practical work experience.
