    Jointly, the Industrial Engineering and Civil Engineering Department are looking for applicants for a 12 month Post-Doctoral Fellow position.

    The PostDoctoral Fellow will be responsible for studying truck parking locations, routing, and scheduling in regards to US Hours of Service regulations. The one year position requires expertise in algorithm development and coding, optimization modeling and method development, machine learning and analytics applied to large data sets, database programming, and development of webbased Geographical Information Systems (GIS) tools. This position will contribute to the interdisciplinary team across the Civil and Industrial Engineering departments at the University of Arkansas.

    Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, or a related field. They should also have expertise in algorithm development and coding, optimization modeling and method development particularly in network optimization and scheduling, machine learning and analytics applied to large datasets, database programming (specifically PostgreSQL), and development of web‐based Geographical Information Systems (GIS) mapping tools.
