The application deadline for the 2017 New Faculty Colloquium is fast approaching! The NFC colloquium is to be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Houston, TX with a dinner on Friday, October 20, 2017 for all colloquia attendees. It is open to faculty members who are in the first three years of their faculty career.
Last year's panelists, offering advice to new faculty in engineering and business on a broad range of topics such as NSF funding, tenure & reappointment, professional service and teaching effectiveness, included Elif Akcali (U of Florida), Damian Beil (U of Michigan), John Birge (U of Chicago), Shane Henderson (Cornell), Julie Higle (USC), Sheldon Jacobson (UIUC), Georgia-Ann Klutke (NSF), Eva Lee (Georgia Tech), Ozalp Ozer (UT-Dallas), Edwin Romeijn (Georgia Tech), Cole Smith (Clemson), Michael Trick (CMU) and Candace Yano (UC Berkeley). This year's panelists will be announced shortly.
